"...the kids who skate here are very excited to have
this park. I had no real concept of how amazing this park was going to be.
You can skate it all at Kirkstone, from rails and ledges to huge quarter
pipes with coping and bowled corners. The step up rail.... run up is fast,
and the rail is approachable from both sides with just enough length to
lock into a trick and ride off clean. The first day that I rolled up to
the park, Craig Williams and a few other guys were launching huge airs over
the hot dog which transitions on the outside edges and is smooth to roll
over in the middle. The quarter pipes all have excellent tranny, the spine
and pyramid break up the sections well and who really knows what kind of
lines are possible until they see guys like Alex Chalmers or Rick McCrank
skate Kirkstone. The concrete is very smooth, the lines are endless, and
the overall style is progressive and fun. The blue prints for Kirkstone
took into account requests from many of the local kids who took time to
contribute their ideas. This park is exactly what the young people of this
neighborhood wanted and the plans were carried out by competent companies,
so the park is structurally very accommodating. Jim definitely killed two
birds with one stone by taking care of the beginner side of things but also
creating as a whole, a park that challenges and inspires skaters of all
levels on a daily basis." |

sick pump bump. Super fast speed lines! All in all pretty bad ass, see for
