"This is not your normal skatepark as it is transition free. All the obstacles you’ll see here are based off real street spots. Big ups to the City of North Van and Jim Barnum’s crew at Spectrum. Good times and good people here. The selection of rails is no joke either with five trainer rails and the one big ten stair. There’s even an adjustable rail that goes into a bank. Fun!"

"Cool street!"

"...one of the pre-eminent street-style skateparks on the continent....held a number of youth focus sessions & even formed a youth advisory committee to make sure the end users of the park would be satisfied with the result. Judging from the number of wide-eyed skaters...the satisfaction quotient will be very high. In addition to providing a 1st-Class place for skaters, youth & adults alike, the park features a skate-able piece of public art, and what a City press release calls a 'significant environmental component.' The park boasts a bio-swale, which 'slows down & filters run-off from the hard surfaces of the park prior to entering nearby Wagg Creek, which is a fish bearing stream."

"I really want to say that the park looks "world class" and exceeds many of our expectations.

The surounding landscaping is a quiet artistic element that says alot about the time and effort that went into its design."

BoardRoom Skateshop

"...a new skatepark that is like no other. It's actually the first of it's kind in the world; a pure street park....a top-notch" skateboard park."

"...'nuff respect to everyone that was involved in the design & building of such a good park. Big ups to Jim Barnum's Spectrum crew! This park is super smooth & consists of stairs, manuals, hubbas, ledges, rails & a few mellow banks that are good to blast out of. You can even pump the waves & use one of the banks to clear the fence as you leave the park...loads of different stairs & blocks, the smallest being a 2 & the biggest a 10 set or 5 block, you pick & enjoy...the medium sized double set...10 other hubbas of all different sizes...so working your way up is no problem. Some go down stairs, some go down banks & you can hit most of them from both sides, just what ya want. The selection of rails is no joke either. From square & mellow to round & huge, you're gonna get your workout today! There's even an adjustable rail that goes down a bank, yeah. The two long mellow sloped bars are a good idea too...a nice height to learn tricks on...this step-up is sick with a few stairs to clear. If you ever get tired of skating all this, you can get your tech on at the ledge to ledge with the ledge across the gap like the one at Armstrong. The lines are good in this park. You decide. Good times at this park people! There's so many obstacles we haven't mentioned...Have fun!
