'It's, like, amazing,' the Lower Sackville teenager, Alec Crowell, said. Alec said he loves riding the bowls, but also likes the new street elements, ranging from a blue fire hydrant to steps and railings.
'It's probably one of the best parks I’ve ever ridden in Canada,' said 18-year-old Martin Gautreau, a BMX bike rider who came from Moncton to spin his wheels.
Jacquie Thillaye, Halifax Skatepark Coalition president, said ‘In my wildest imagination, I never thought that I’d see that many riders there on one day with so many smiles on their faces and looks of awe,' she said. 'We’re so excited.'"
